What is Wrinkle Relaxation?

Botox treatment involves the use of Botulinum toxin, a neurotoxic protein, to temporarily relax muscles and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is used to smooth out facial wrinkles, such as crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead lines. Botox is also used for medical purposes, such as treating chronic migraines, excessive sweating, and certain muscle disorders. The effects of Botox typically last between three to six months, after which the treatment will need to be repeated to maintain the results. It is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that requires little downtime.

How does Wrinkle Relaxation work?

During the wrinkle relaxation treatment, a small amount of Botulinum toxin is injected into appropriate muscles using a fine needle. The toxin blocks the signals from the nerves to the muscles, which prevents them from contracting. As a result, the overlying skin becomes smoother, and the wrinkles or lines appear less pronounced creating a more youthful look. The treatment is carefully done and minimally invasive, with no need for anaesthesia.

What’s involved in Wrinkle Relaxation?

We start with understanding your goals so we can prepare the treatment and tailor it to your needs. It will start by cleansing the skin and a numbing cream may be applied for added comfort. Using a fine needle, the botulinum toxin is then injected into the specific muscles responsible for causing wrinkles.
